Our classes are taught by Sensei Donna Gardecki who has a Masters of Science in Physical Education.
She started her Karate training in 1984 at the University of Alberta in Edmonton (Canada).
Sensei Gardecki has reached the level of Yon dan.
Gardecki Sensei has been teaching Karate since 1992 and has been running her own club since March 1997. She also placed fourth at the third International Goju-Kai championships in Womens' (Advanced) Kata.
West Coast Goju-Kai started with only 1 student and today the club has more than 60 students including approximately 40 children.
Sensei Gardecki works as a Fitness and Rehabilitation Consultant in the lower mainland. She was the Head Coach for the Canadian
Team at the recent International Goju-Kai championships. Gardecki Sensei also serves on the Technical committee for IKGA Canada which
ensures a high standard and consistent method of teaching is maintained at all the IKGA member dojo's.
We are also lucky to have Sensei Carlos Tesler-Mabe who joined us from Calgary Goju-Kai last year.
